Doc Watson - Zoo Tunes
We went to see Doc Watson at the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle. It was a great show, and the weather was great too! Much better weather than when we saw Neko Case last year...
Doc Watson
This is my favorite shot of the night, hands down. I took this on my way back from the bathroom after intermission. A few seconds later one of the workers told me I wasn't supposed to be taking pictures. I'm still not totally convinced of this, because it says nothing about cameras or photography on the Zoo Tunes website, but I stopped anyway...
Crowd Shot 2
These little girls were having a great time dancing around with their stuffed elephants - pretty cute!
A girl and her elephant
All the children who came to the concert got cute little stuffed elephants. I was a little bit jealous.

Zoo Pictures
I took these at the Woodland Park Zoo last Sunday. All shot using a manual focus Vivitar 200mm OM mount lens with my Olympus E-500.
Jaguar, Up Close & Personal
I was wishing I had a zoom lens on so that I could zoom out and get a bit more jaguar in the shot...but it turned out kind of cool anyway :-)

Red-Crowned Crane Chick, I
The chick is growing up fast - you can see that the white feathers are starting to come in. Unfortunately, it was being a little shy and hiding behind the plant you can see on the left.
See what the chick looked like on June 22, 2006.

Clayton Beach
Last Saturday Doug and I went to Bellingham for RJ & Colleen's going away BBQ. We took Chuckanut Drive and stopped at Clayton Beach along the way. It was a beautiful afternoon!

Rose in the yard...
testing out a "new" lens...Soligor 80-200mm Auto+Macro. I need to play with it a little more before I decide if I like it or not...
Spider...
I didn't know we had spiders like this in Seattle until I saw this one crawling across our floor and thought it was a beetle at first...
Picture taken by Doug Cole.
(I didn't want to get that close to it!)

Liila & Ted
You can see that they have differing opinions on the fireworks going off in the front yard... ;-)
